Our Focus for 2026:
Constituent Pressure → Congressional Action
Our 2026 initiative is designed to impact the political discussion for the upcoming Congressional elections.  Through this website, we are enabling grassroot constituents to send Nuggets to their Members of Congress and Candidates for those Offices. But, instead of sending ineffective emails to government sites, the goal here is to flood those Members' and Candidates' social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) with these Nuggets. By going this route, we can achieve three things: 1) the constituents become more informed, 2) many others on those social media platforms are exposed to the information and may pass it on, and 3) the policymakers may realize how important the issues are and learn how to LEAD in developing forward motion. If properly constructed, both the Member of Congress (MoC) and the constituent will have learned some scientifically sound information, will have expanded their understanding of the situation they share, and will have an improved vocabulary for discussing responsive policy options.
About Climate Nuggets
Climate science can be dauntingly complex. Even if greenhouse gases, energy flows, and the biological, atmospheric, and geographical interconnections of our planet are understood, the implications can be hard to grasp or articulate. Climate Nuggets are designed to capture important, scientifically supported information, and present it in a way which can be quickly and effectively received by those less familiar with the information. The Nuggets can be shared, particularly with those who would determine the policies appropriate to the circumstances.
